"Accredited with Distinction"

The Colorado Department of Education recognized the Frenchman School District as a District of Distinction under the state's accountability system.  The evaluations are based on four performance indicators;  academic achievement; academic growth; closing the gaps in growth levels for a variety of historically disadvantaged subgroups; and success in preparing students for post-secondary and workforce readiness (based on dropout rates, graduation rates, and scores on ACT college entrance exam).

To the Alumni of Fleming School concerning “Bus for Us Project”

The school last year traveled 36,792 miles to different school events during the year, and sometimes we have to take two busses to one location. These miles are put on our busses and other vehicles (car, van, Suburban) to transport our kids to the many events they participate in (FBLA, FFA, athletic, ect.).  At this time, our longest travel time is ten hours, up and back, and that doesn’t include summer trips. You know as well as I do, that a school bus is not made for a trip that long; it is made to go from home to school and back.  With Fleming getting more competitive in our academics and athletics, we are competing in more activities and our academic trips and sports seasons are getting longer.  This is necessary to keep our competitive edge.  We are looking to buy a 54-57 passenger tour bus to be used for all school activities.  This used bus will cost us about $100,000 and would include bus graphics and some maintenance.  Fleming School, Fleming Booster Club, and Fleming School Board are asking for your help in this endeavor.  We are asking every alumnus to donate just $100 each, more if you would like, which can be tax deductible.  If everyone puts in their fair share, this would be an easy goal to reach.  Remember—this is for your kids, grandkids, or even great-grandkids.  Thank you for your time and consideration of this school project.
