Parents and Students

Fleming parents and students;

Governor Polis issued an executive order on April 21st stating that all Colorado schools will cancel in-person instruction for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year due to the COVID -19 pandemic.   This means that the in-person instruction in the school building is suspended, not school.  Fleming will continue with at-home instruction.  We expect our students to continue to engage in remote learning through the remainder of the school year which is scheduled to end on May 22nd.  Students have been receiving credit for all work completed and turned in.  As of April 27th students will be held accountable for all work assigned.  The Fleming School is requiring all students to attempt to attain grade level and subject level expectations for the remainder of the school year.  The building will continue to be open on Tuesday mornings from 10am-12:00 to exchange packets.  Junior high and high school students need to regularly check their school emails for communication from teachers.

Student check-out for the summer will occur on Thursday, May 21st from 4:00-6:00pm and on Friday, May 22nd from 9:00am-12:00.  Please return chrome books with the chargers, textbooks, music instruments, athletic uniforms and all other school property.  The senior class and the 8th grade class will check out on Friday, May 15th from 10:00-12:00.  When you arrive for checkout, please use the bus lane; enter from the north side and the teachers will be there to assist.  Please follow all CDC guidelines in regards to social distancing and wear a mask when you come to the building.

The Colorado High School Activities Association has cancelled all spring athletic events. The school is discussing rescheduling end of the year activities such as prom, the senior trip, awards ceremonies, and graduation.  No matter what decisions are made, the safety our students, staff, parents, and community will be a priority.  We appreciate your cooperation and patience in these challenging times.

This is not how we wanted to finish the year, but we will make the best of it. Thank you for all that you are doing for our students and community.  Please check the school’s website,, for updates.

Be safe and be well.
