Mrs. Arika Lippstrew's Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade art classes submitted monster drawings into a drawing contest through Young Artists and ALL of the artwork has been chosen to be published in "Monster Madness." We are so proud and excited for all of these kids! Letters have been sent home with the artists, and parents/guardians have to follow the steps to consent to the child's artwork being published so please be on the lookout for those!

Fleming has started its first Odyssey of the Mind team this year. Seven creative students from 2nd through 4th grade are stepping up to represent our school. They include Calla H (4th), Claire O (4th), Eva L (4th), Kennedy L (3rd), Lily O (4th), Maddy L (2nd), and Wally L (2nd) and are coached by Danny Lambrecht, with the help of additional parent volunteers.
On March 7th, our team will head to the regional competition to face off against schools across Northern Colorado. Their challenge? To perform a completely original skit featuring a hero and sidekick navigating an Epic Quest. In true Odyssey fashion, every element—from the script and costumes to the props and backdrops—has been designed and built entirely by the students themselves.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving program where students work in teams to solve open-ended, imaginative challenges. Over several months, students design, build, and perform an original solution to a "Long-Term" problem, such as creating a technical device or writing a theatrical skit. A hallmark of the program is the "no outside assistance" rule, requiring that every idea, prop, and costume be created entirely by the students without adult help.
Sign-up and information for next year’s teams will be presented in the Fall 2026 to the Fleming School body.
