I grew up in Sterling, CO and have my family roots here in Fleming. My father and his parents went to school in Fleming as well as my husband and his family. I earned an Associate's Degree at Northeastern Junior College in Business Administration, then went on to the University of Northern Colorado where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Human Growth and Development. I worked in the Greeley area as a substitute teacher for a couple of years and then accepted a position as a Kindergarten Teacher at Big Thompson Elementary in Loveland, CO where I taught for a year.  My husband Marty and I decided to move back out to the eastern plains and moved to Fleming where I taught two years as a 6th Grade Teacher at St. Anthony's Catholic School, two years as a Substitute Teacher in Fleming and Haxtun, and 14 years at Northeastern Colorado BOCES as a Speech Teacher and Early Childhood Coordinator.  While at BOCES, I earned my Master's Degree in Special Education and had two children, Jessie and Jack. I joined the Fleming School District in 2014 as the Special Education Teacher.  I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of a great learning community here at Fleming Schools and look forward to being here for many more years.
